Baptism & Confirmation
All parent who are seeking Baptism (often called “Christening”) for their child are invited to come to our Saturday morning ‘Drop in Coffee’, where we can meet with you and complete the baptism application, and arrange the Baptism date.. We also encourage families to be part of our worshipping community. We explain what Baptism is all about, discuss what it means to be a part of our church fellowship, and arrange dates for Baptism services. We hold Baptism services after the main morning service. We’d be delighted if you came to meet us at one of our services.
In Infant Baptism, promises are made on behalf of a child by the godparents. At Confirmation, these promises are made again by the individual – this “confirms” what was said for them as a child. We hold Confirmation classes for young people and adults each year, and a Bishop visits to lead our Confirmation service.
